Department of History
Introduction
Department of History was established in 1971. It has UG Level
Program. The History department is working under the social science faculty.
This department makes Annual plan as per University norms and implements it
strictly.
Osmanabad District in Maharashtra is considered
as one of the important historical background area. It has many historical
places like Goddess Tuljabhavani Temple, Ter Museum, Naldurg Fort, Agashiv Leni
etc.
To fulfill their academic and career need we continuously organize
curriculum and extra curriculum activity like Study tour, project writing,
field visits. Surprise tests, unit tests, Paper solving, question bank, are the
aspects of preparation for internal evaluation.
We also focus on life skill enrichment activities like Short
term and value added course along with regular curriculum. In last 4 years we
have organized 4 short term course for the students and 3 value added course
for the students.
The faculty of the department is highly qualified and dedicated
to the department development. The faculty has great tradition in research. There
is 1 full time and 1 Clock hour basis post as per university norms.
The
department has organizes one national level seminar in last 5 years.
